Groundbreaking

Recently, staff of the Broetje Family Trust, residents of Tierra Vida Community and members of the greater Tri-Cities, WA community celebrated the groundbreaking of 120 new apartments in East Pasco, WA. Twigy Tellez, Co-Director of the Broetje Family Trust and Director of Jubilee Foundation, warmly welcomed the group of 120 attendees.

“It is about creating spaces where people come together, where relationships flourish, opportunities are created and people can work, play, grown, learn and serve each other.” This is the core mission of Jubilee Foundation.

One of the speakers reflected on the sense of safety and community within Tierra Vida. She expressed gratitude for finding a place that felt like “home”. “I saw a beautiful place, noticing this is a very familiar place, where people help each other during difficult times.”

Being in a safe neighborhood has empowered her to grow and help others in her neighborhood. ” I learned the importance of being a good neighbor.”

The upcoming development will include 120 new multi-family affordable apartments, green spaces for residents and a dog park. This expansion will not only address the pressing need for affordable housing in the region but also further Jubilee’s continued commitment of creating an intentional community where everyone can thrive.

Additionally we are thrilled to announce that Tierra Vida phase 3 was awarded a $2 million Connecting Housing to Infrastructure Program (CHIP) Grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce. The grant aids in crucial utility improvements to affordable housing, supporting 43 projects statewide. We’re grateful for the funding and thank B4 Development and Consulting and City of Pasco staff for their assistance in applying for this grant.
