Learning “How Things Work”

This summer, over 60 children filled Tierra Vida’s youth summer program to capacity. They ranged from little ones at the kindergarten level, stepping into a classroom for the very first time, all the way up to sixth graders. This year the Tierra Vida team wanted the kids to come away having learned something real. So the summer was organized around a simple, open-ended theme: How Things Work.

On May 27, Tierra Vida celebrated 11 graduates with a heartfelt ceremony. Royale shared his journey, reflecting on challenges and encouraging graduates to pursue their goals with confidence and determination.

On October 13, Tierra Vida’s streets filled with smiles as residents, staff, and members of the Tri-Cities, WA community celebrated Phase III’s completion – a milestone reflecting shared effort, connection, and community spirit.
