Sharing stories. Nurturing community. Serving together.

Nurturing Servant Leaders

Communities become places of flourishing when true servants are empowered to serve and lead.  The Center for Sharing is a faith-based, experiential, learning community that nurtures the practice of servant leadership, and through it the flourishing of places of true community.  Together we pursue healing, growth, social justice and the unique gifts and purpose of all people, especially those who have been left on the margins of society.

We pursue our work in three interrelated ways

Teaching

We offer a range of courses in Servant Leadership Development to support individuals and groups on their journey to create more authentically in community as they live into their own unique gifts and call.

Practicing

Our learning comes from the daily practice of living and working together in our place.  Through the programs and activities of the Collegium, we serve and accompany people to flourishing every day.

Mentoring

We mentor a growing network of passionate servant leaders who are committed to living out their call in place-based communities around the globe.

As part of God’s creation

everyone counts, is worthy of respect and has a part to play in caring for the whole of creation.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer said this: “any community who allows unemployed people to remain within it, will eventually perish because of them.” When individuals are not able to contribute their God-given gifts, they suffer spiritual disconnection resulting in a loss of meaning and purpose or a sense of belonging.

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)
