Nurturing Servant Leaders
Communities become places of flourishing when true servants are empowered to serve and lead. We are a faith-based, experiential learning community that nurtures the practice of servant leaders in their place. Together we pursue healing, growth, social justice, and the unique gifts and purpose of all people, especially those who have been left on the margins of society.
We pursue servant leadership development in four interrelated ways

Center for Sharing
We offer courses in servant leadership development to prepare individuals and groups to embrace their unique gifts and call, and to live more authentically in community.

RISE Scholars
We support first generation students interested in pursuing higher education beyond high school to build the skills and connections needed to put their dreams into action.

NELA
Nueva Esperanza Leadership Academy (NELA) is a private, Christian school for grades K-8, where each student is known deeply, loved unconditionally, and learning holistically.

COLLEGIUM CAFE
Located in the Tierra Vida Community, serving as a "third space" for the community as well as a work readiness program.

As part of God’s creation
Everyone counts, is worthy of respect and has a part to play in caring for the whole of creation.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer said this: “any community who allows unemployed people to remain within it, will eventually perish because of them.” When individuals are not able to contribute their God-given gifts, they suffer spiritual disconnection resulting in a loss of meaning and purpose or a sense of belonging.
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)
