Broetje Family Trust is a Christ-Centered organization. We embrace the Bible as the central guide for preparing ourselves to become followers of Jesus Christ. During Holy Week, our staff and members of the Tierra Vida community came together for a meaningful observance of the Stations of the Cross.
This centuries-old Christian tradition began in Jerusalem, where early believers retraced the steps Jesus took on His way to the cross. Over time, it became a spiritual practice around the world—a chance to reflect on His suffering, love, and the hope of redemption.
Our procession began at the Leo Center on East A Street. Staff carried a wooden cross through the neighborhood streets of Tierra Vida, retracing the journey to Golgotha. Along the way, we paused to reflect on the story of Christ’s sacrifice and the love He poured out.
Our path ended at the Community Garden—a place that nourishes both body and soul. There, we gathered with neighbors and friends to sing, read scripture, and offer prayers of blessing over the garden and everyone it serves. It was a sacred moment—filled with reflection, gratitude, and hope.
Afterward, everyone was invited to plant flowers in the garden. One by one, blooms were placed gently in the soil as symbols of new life, renewal, and growth.
This Easter season, we invite you to pause and reflect:
- Where is life feeling heavy?
- What burdens are you quietly carrying?
- Where are you longing for healing or new beginnings?
May this season remind us that even in our struggles, new life is taking root. God is quietly at work—planting seeds of hope and restoration. And as a community, we walk together, lifting each other up in love.
