In September, Tierra Vida Staff took over the afterschool and summer program from an outside organization. They have been adjusting the program to meet our youths’ needs and incorporate servant-led practices. Recently, students suggested renaming the program After the Bell, setting aside achievement expectations they felt were associated with the word “school” and setting the tone for fun and belonging.
