On June 7th, Nueva Esperanza Leadership Academy (NELA) hosted their year-end showcase which included a student-led cast reenacting the story of Moses. The students and staff of NELA took the challenge of presenting
this event in an approachable yet sacred manner. Students not only spent time memorizing lyrics, lines and stage directions, but they also had additional Bible study focusing on Moses’ life and his prophetic call. A key takeaway is that the students learned to interpret the deeper meaning of the biblical verses and to bring to life the story with power and light. Our students are blessed with many talents and each one of them shined in the role they took on. The staff could not have asked for a better cumulative event to showcase NELA.
