We are pleased to welcome Leann Juarez-Griffin as our new Servant Leadership Managing Director. In this position, she oversees our Servant Leadership Development program, RISE Scholars, and Nueva Esperanza Leadership Academy.
Leann was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. She has focused her gifts and call to work in service alongside individuals and families that are in vulnerable situations, at-risk, or in need of support during certain times in their lives. After high school, Leann focused on service work and was soon part of a team that was responsible for starting day treatment programs, afterschool programs, and creating innovative residential settings for individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities throughout the State of Arizona and later into Nevada and New Mexico.
In 2009, Leann married her husband Rick and relocated to Washington State, living in the community of Jubilee Leadership Academy (JLA). After several years of transition, Leann also joined the working team of JLA and contributed towards building a trauma-informed community designed to help students learn the skills necessary to become leaders. In 2019, JLA closed, and the Griffin family relocated to Arizona. Leann got involved with Grand Canyon University, a Christian university in the center of Phoenix, AZ. She structured, built, and implemented the Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment Team practices. These teams focus on students that struggle in the college environment due to stressors, including mental health.
In mid-2021, Leann learned of the Servant Leadership Managing Director position open at Broetje Family Trust. After prayer, the Griffin family was in support of a relocation back to Washington to allow for continued service to God.
“I am most looking forward to being a part of an inclusive community of practice that nourishes leaders in their service to God’s kingdom.”Leann Griffin
