Holistic Learning at NELA

The 2020-21 school year was one of intentional change, as we devoted more time to social emotional learning and saw tremendous academic growth.

At Nueva Esperanza Leadership Academy (NELA), we believe in knowing our students deeply, so that we may meet them where they are in their learning process and provide them with proper support to reach their targeted goals.

A year ago, schools across the world were asked to close their doors to help contain the spread of COVID-19. Teachers and staff at NELA creatively thought of ways to continue to help students connect to self, God, family, and nature.
