People-centered and Place-based
We believe in holistic community development. We know that when people feel safe in their place and have a sense of belonging and purpose there, a shared desire to help each other grows.
Through collaboration and dialogue, we seek alternatives to the isolating and unhealthy attributes that define many of our communities around the world. We look for ways to come around people in community, nurture their capacities to lead, and celebrate their growth.
We do community building in three interrelated ways
RISE
supporting first-generation students from the local community to pursue their purpose through higher education.
Tierra Vida Community
An intentional community on A Street in East Pasco that focuses on community engagement and service.
Collegium Cafe
Located in the Tierra Vida Community, serving as a "third space" for the community as well as a work readiness program.
